Magical. Posh. Dreary. Quirky. Gloomy. These are just some words that come to mind when you think about London. The city has been on my bucket list for the longest time and I finally planned a trip there to celebrate my birthday in August! As the plane flew over the city, I caught sight of the Tower Bridge (that’s the famous “bridge in London” that everyone knows but often gets confused as the London Bridge) and and the River Thames below us. I was finally in London!

Sure we travelled to London in the summer but I wasn’t expecting the perfect summer weather during the trip. However, we were blessed with clear skies for most of our trip, save for a few showers during the day that didn’t last long! What a departure from the usual weather in the city.
From the life on the streets, historical monuments to the diverse culture, there’s plenty to see and do in the city. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and you’ll soon be exhausted by the options (and all the walking!) available. I’d recommend setting aside a couple of days to take things slow and relax, and fill the rest of your days with all the exploring you want to do.
Put it simply, there’s plenty of reasons that will make you fall in love with the city. It brings a great mix of everything a big city offers and more; you’ve got the history, great vibes, culture, food and beautiful architecture (see: pastel coloured houses in Notting Hill, quaint stores and picturesque pubs). But don’t just take my word for it, here are some amazing shots of London for you to feast your eyes on and give you a sneak preview of what the city has to offer.
So take a short wander around the city through these shots and you’ll soon find yourself booking a flight to Heathrow and counting down the days (impatiently) till you get to touch down in this beautiful city!
